Appetite Suppressant Lollipop: What Are They All About?

When you think of candy, weight-loss is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. A fairly new addition to the dieting industry, known as appetite suppressant lollipops, may be here to change your mind! The lollipop has earned itself some mixed reviews over the last few years. You may be wondering why that is, and what these appetite suppressant lollipops all are about. Keep reading on to learn about these appetite suppressant lollipops:

What Are The Ingredients In Appetite Suppressant Lollipops?

There’s only one well-known brand that deals the dieting pops: Flat Tummy. Although there are multiple ingredients in their lollipops, their website focuses on the active ingredient called Satiereal. According to their official website, “Our Lollipops feature SATIEREAL, a clinically proven safe active ingredient extracted from natural plants. It works to maximize satiety.” Satiereal mainly helps with food cravings. Other ingredients in them include: Cane Sugar, Brown Rice Syrup, Beet Juice, and Natural Flavor.

Satiereal is an extract of saffron that has been known to aid in keeping you full until your next meal. Some have questioned the safety of Satiereal in the lollipops, even though it is technically a plant extract. This is mostly because there’s no specification to how much is in each lollipop and if this extract is safe in large amounts.

Do They Work?

Although endorsed by Kim Kardashian on Instagram, it’s always good to check in with consumers of the product that haven’t been paid to talk about it. Allie Conti, contributor of Marie Claire magazine tried the pops for herself and was utterly underwhelmed by the results. Her article regarding the lollipops, is where she wrote about her experience:

This is not a product I would recommend in good conscience, but I would at least, theoretically, be able to earn my money back if I were willing to sing its praises. You see, Flat Tummy Co. has a brand ambassador program in which customers are sent $10 for every ‘babe’ they convince to place an order. Kim Kardashian is an ideal celebrity spokesperson for a company that wants to sell young girls on unhealthy diet advice, but I’d be interested to know how many regular people end up actually buying these lollipops more than once.”

This, among other reviews, doesn’t leave the lollipops in a good light. It seems like they spent more money on their marketing campaigns than ensuring that the science was actually proven to be successful.

Are The Lollipops Worth The Purchase?

So, what are appetite suppressant lollipops all about? Since there’s so many ways to lose weight nowadays, gimmicks unfortunately make up a lot of the products on the market. But, there’s so few studies on these treats that it may even be too soon to make a definite statement. However, if you’re looking for a more traditional way to lose weight, check out this guide on the most popular diets of 2020.
